Mark Zuckerberg, a sophomore at Harvard, Launched Facebook social networking website on February 4, 2004. Objectively, Zuckerberg had built a social networking website to connect students around the campus. Little did he know how big the idea would grow in the global arena. Zuckerberg had gained celebrity status on the campus aft the previous Face Mash website, making him very popular.
The end of Face Mash paved the way for the desire to build Facebook, and at some point, it is often thought to be the greatest push that led to the design and development of the social network platform.

The next day after launch, the website gained over a thousand users, most of whom had signed up within and outside the campus. Essentially, the small project of connecting friends sin school quickly ballooned into the largest social networking website and an integral social media company in the history of the world. Currently, Facebook has over 2 billion monthly active users globally. The huge growth is heavily attributed to the expanded uses of the internet and the increasingly powerful nature of the electronic components.

After the launch of Facebook, students rapidly accessed and registered to the social networking website. The Expansion was so rapid that Zuckerberg left Harvard to run Facebook from its new headquarters in California. The social networking platform had grown to neighbor campuses and had huge impacts. Investors were drawing in and placing their money rapidly.

From Harvard to the rest of the United States, Facebook became one of the most valued social networking platforms. The United States citizens trusted Facebook immensely and relied on the news media that had signed up on the platform. The rest of the world soon joined in, from European nations to the Asian world and Africa. Facebook has greatly impacted modern lifestyles that affect how people connect socially.
