Innovation limitation of the Nobel Prize
Some experts believe the Nobel Prize process favors fundamental knowledge, like causes of HIV diseases. If does not consider innovation that leads to prevention or treatments of various conditions such as vaccines in modern medicines. According to Linneman & Satin (2021), in physiology the Nobel Prize is only given to the most important discovery and less than three individuals. This is the major reason why only one vaccine discovery has received the award in the medical field to date. Professionalism has evolved, and new measures are being looked at to acknowledge high-performing innovations.

Two innovations which changed human health for the better, attracted global concern for not meeting the Nobel Prize standards.
A vaccine for rotavirus was invented in 1988 and recently Covid-19 antivirus vaccines (Linneman & Satin 2021). At first, the vaccine could not be rewarded because the researchers had inadequate resources to administer it to many children for rotavirus. After his idea was sponsored by an organization to reach many children, it exceeded the limit of three people. Also, Covid-19 vaccines were developed by various companies.
Professionals take time to study and develop prevention and treatments for various conditions. Most innovations result from improving other expert concepts and other needs collaborations to create global impacts. We have to change the Nobel Prize reward processes or create a special organization for honoring human physiology discovery.
